Making Movies at Meow Wolf, Santa Fe, NM

June 6, 2017 with Hurray For The Riff Raff

It was my first trip to Meow Wolf and Making Movies made the trip that much more special.  Two sets of brothers make up the four members of this bold mix of sounds from Kansas City, MO.


It’s a long story for another day, but, trust me, it is worth hearing.  As for the music, the band owned the stage that evening.  Every track building on the previous one.  they even returned at the end of HFTRR’s set for an explosive jam version of Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark.”

The band performed for about 90 minutes and featured many of the tracks from their latest release, The Deepest Lake.
